TipNet Back to the app

Privacy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

TipNet is built so your numbers stay with you. In short: everything you type lives on your own device, and there is no TipNet account, no analytics and no tracking.

What is stored, and where

Your paystub numbers, nights, pay periods, budget entries and settings are stored in your browser on this device (in IndexedDB, with a backup copy in local storage). They are never uploaded to a TipNet server, because TipNet does not have one.

Our website host

TipNet's files are hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any website host, GitHub receives visitors' IP addresses and basic request information when the app's files are downloaded. See GitHub's privacy statement. TipNet itself adds no tracking on top of that.

What never leaves your device

Your earnings, tips, paystub details, nights, budget and backup codes are never sent anywhere by TipNet.

The one network connection

The only time TipNet talks to the internet is to check a license key with Lemon Squeezy, and only if you use the paid Budget add-on. That check sends your license key and a random device name that TipNet made up. It does not send your name, your email address or anything you entered in the app.

Payments

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for Budget purchases. It handles your payment details, receipts and tax under its own privacy policy: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. TipNet never sees your card number.

No analytics, cookies or tracking

TipNet uses no analytics, no advertising, no cookies and no tracking of any kind. Your browser may keep a small copy of the app so it works offline. It also remembers your light or dark choice.

Backups are plain text

A backup code is your data written as plain text. Anyone who has the code can read it, so keep it private, and do not post it anywhere public.

Deleting everything

Open Setup and tap Erase everything to remove your nights and settings from this device. Uninstalling the app or clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything too. Because nothing is stored on a server, there is nothing else for us to delete.
